The column in the forum and the inscription at the port say all there is to say about Ravenna. It is an area written first and foremost as a legacy and cornerstone, written next as a true portrait of a brief moment in mankind's history. Few who have fought the Emperor Honorius here will now forget him. But it is also a case-study in the power of the player over the author; an area originally deemed to have several insoluble puzzles and to pose a good number of near-impossible combat challenges has yet yielded all its secrets and proven its weakness before mortal blade. While the players have long since overcome the author's best defenses, the city walls still stand against Gothic siege.
